Analysis:
To no surprise, Todd Gurley gets the top spot this week facing a Raiders defense that will be run over by the Rams on Monday Night Football…I’m expecting the Jaguars to dominate the Giants on both sides of the ball and Leonard Fournette will have ample opportunities to punish the Giants defense…Alvin Kamara should be the focus of the Saints offense this Sunday, and they should put up a very large number against the Buccaneers…David Johnson falls right back into his role with the Cardinals–the Redskins have been hurt by RB, so this feel like a favorable spot for DJ…Melvin Gordon is as safe as safe can be in a matchup against the Chiefs defense…Alex Collins receives the largest bump up the rankings for Week 1…the Ravens should be able to get what they want against the Bills defense…adversely, Ezekiel Elliott receives the biggest discount, dropping to #9 on the rankings…Saquon Barkley also plummets down the rankings–I don’t see the Giants offensive line faring very well against the Jaguars defensive line…James Conner slides in as a quality RB2 given the projected absence of Lev Bell…I like Alfred Morris for season long leagues, but against a tough Vikings defense, I’m expecting him to be more of a ‘Flex’ play than a RB2.
