Christian Miller Scouting Report

STRENGTHS: The best part of Christian Miller’s game is his versatility as a pass rusher…he has a variety of pass rushing moves and doesn’t mind mixing it up…plays up-tempo at all times…has good hands…does a good job avoiding the initial block…despite being a bit undersized, Christian Miller plays well against the run…a high IQ player who knows where to be, and makes the play when it’s there to be made…

WEAKNESSES: Christian Miller is an older NFL Draft prospect…one which carries some injury red flags…Miller has never been the most explosive player off of the ball…at his size and stature—this is a major concern…a bit tight in his movement…does not do well after he’s engaged by the blocker…can get engulfed at times…

COMP: Tank Carradine

OVERALL: Christian Miller simply could never fully put it all together while at Alabama…played sparingly for a few seasons behind better players/prospects, and then sustaining an injury…what to make of his draft stock now..? Projecting his role moving forward, I would evaluate him as a specialist—3rd down pass rusher…I’m just not sure what else his game lends itself to at the NFL level…given these range of expectations, I’m listing him as a day two prospect, somewhere in the 3rd round range of the 2019 NFL Draft.
