JoeJuan Williams Scouting Report

STREGTHS: Joejuan Williams has the ideal size and length that teams covet at the NFL level…above average ball skills…for a defensive back his size, you’d expect Joejuan Williams to have stiff hips—that is NOT the case…fluid athleticism…Joejuan Williams excels in press coverage due to the physical nature in which he plays the position…strong, long arms able to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage…although not the off-man type of CB, he doesn’t get beaten by double moves…plays strong and tough…

WEAKNESSES: The primary glaring weakness that keeps showing up on film when evaluating Joejuan Williams was his inability to get his head around, and a lack of awareness at times…does not play well in off man coverage…does not transition very well from platform to platform…translation—will be a sitting duck against quick WR in off-coverage…maddeningly inconsistent…

COMP: Xavier Rhodes

OVERALL: JoeJuan Williams has as much upside as any defensive back in the entire 2019 draft…there have been times where he looks like a potential All-Pro…unreal length and strength—JoeJuan Williams is climbing up draft boards everywhere…his Scouting Combine and in particular, his 40 time is going to carry a lot of weight…if JoeJuan Williams can produce anything under a 4.6—he has a chance to be a 1st round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
