Nasir Adderley Scouting Report

STRENGTHS: Nasir Adderley has a great blend of natural athleticism and a high football IQ…Adderley is dynamic as a defensive back…Nasir Adderley has endless range playing the game from sideline to sideline…a smart player who can diagnose the play, and then goes to make the play…electrifying playmaker…catches the ball at it’s highest point…a natural ball hawk…can match-up well with TE and RB out of the backfield…fluid hips with outstanding quickness transitioning from platform to platform…love the fact that he is a fundamentally sound tackler who constantly wraps up…outstanding run defender who doesn’t mind putting his nose in there and making the play with an impact…

WEAKNESSES: Nasir Adderley does not have the man to man skills that you want to match up on outside wide receivers…played CB during his career—and when he did, had a hard time finding the football…playing at the University of Delaware, you have to question the level of competition that he was facing week in and week out…going from the FCS to the NFL is as large a leap as one can make…could result in some initial struggles…

COMP: Earl Thomas

OVERALL: Nasir Adderley has been sky-rocketing up draft boards throughout the scouting community, and I don’t expect the momentum to cease anytime soon…Adderley has found a home at the safety position and has excelled at doing so…limitless range and a smart football player…Nasir Adderley has the makeup of what could be a future leader of your defense and football team…I have him as a borderline Top 10 talent in this draft class, and have no reservations in projection Nasir Adderley as a Top 15-25 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
