Cameron Johnson Scouting Report

Player Comparison: Trevor Ariza

Analysis: In a draft that stands out for it’s lack of shooting, Cam Johnson stands out as a very good shooter from all over the court…Cameron Johnson has a smooth all-around offensive game…with a 6’10 wingspan, Cameron Johnson can get his shot off against virtually any defender…plays well off-ball…one of the older prospects in this draft—the fact that Cameron Johnson will turn 24 years old during his rookie season is a glaring weakness when it comes to projecting his upside…his lack of athleticism could be a large problem against bigger, faster NBA athletes…plays a bit too tentative at times…high-character and basketball IQ….Cameron Johnson may not have the highest upside, but I think we know what he is…an excellent role player who can help a team on both ends of the court…some believe he will be a 2nd round pick, but I believe his talent should keep him in the latter portion of the 1st round in the 2019 NBA Draft.
