PJ Washington Scouting Report

Player Comparison: David West

Analysis: P.J. Washington may be another one of those ‘tweeners’ as he does not have the ideal size for a Power Forward at the NBA level…that being said, I believe he has the talent, skill set, and work ethic to develop his outside game to fit in the NBA as a versatile wing who could play the stretch 4 position…when you look at PJ Washington, it’s easy to see a NBA ready body who can step in and play from day one…I mention Washington’s versatility once again as he can do any number of things on the offensive end—even exceling in the mid-range game…an above average passer for a big man, offense can run through him…a high-IQ player on the court…I imagine that NBA-level length may cause him some issues early on in his NBA career…has the look and feel of a prospect who is going to play and contribute at the NBA level for the next decade…we value him as a lottery-level pick, who will likely slip into the teens of the 2019 NBA Draft.
